The largest obstacle to #Brexit is the ERG.
Crazy really.
A tense room at @CER_EU’s event, with Antoinette @Sandbach declaring that “the key obstacle to an agreement is the ERG”. Bold with @bernardjenkin sat on the same panel...#CPC18 @CHEMTrust pic.twitter.com/G0nvsbDQXh

I cannot find a single European official or Irish minister that says they will erect hard border if we leave EU without agreement – @theresa_may says same – so if we leave without an agreement there will be no infrastructure on border, @bernardjenkin tells CER #CPC18 fringe

Tory MP Antoinette Sandbach tells @CER_Grant #CPC2018 fringe that if ERG vote against Chequers, bringing it down then it is “highly likely” that parliament would then vote for a second referendum. “That’s high risk for the ERG.”

We were right to have an EU referendum, and we have to follow through with what people chose – I don’t believe another referendum would help, @vickyford tells our #CPC18 fringe – listen live here: https://t.co/HxS1Gw2ISK

#CERBrexitoutcome #CPC18 @sandbach says if #ERG blocks Parliamentary agreement on a deal, #Brexit would have to go back to the people to decide, with no certainty of outcome.

#CERBrexitoutcome #CPC18 @bernardjenkin accuses @hmtreasury of phoney forecasts, gets lots of applause for saying UK won’t be bullied & predictions of cataclysm are all wrong.

Chequers would not deliver the EU referendum mandate – leaving meant taking back controls of our own laws – government’s leaflet in referendum said as much too, @bernardjenkin tells our Conservative conference #CPC18 fringe ‘What will be the outcome of Brexit?’
