Camino Mortera-Martínez, Senior Research Fellow at the CER, is joined by Giulia Laganá, Senior Analyst at the Open Society European Policy Institute, to discuss her latest policy brief, "Is there a future for the EU’s area of freedom, security and justice? A plan to build back trust". The policy brief is the final in a series of papers and builds on the work of the Amato Group.

Giuliano Amato, former prime minister of Italy, and Elizabeth Collett, Special Adviser to António Vitorino at the International Organization for Migration, provide opening remarks, and Charles Grant, Director of the CER, closes the event. Chaired by Heather Grabbe, Director of the Open Society European Policy Institute.
