Thomas Maddock

EU foreign policy, the Middle East
Thomas Maddock is a research fellow at the Centre for European Reform, having previously been the Clara Marina O’Donnell fellow (2025-2026). While at the CER, his work will centre on the EU’s foreign policy, particularly in the Middle East and EU-Türkiye relations.
Previously, Thomas worked at Chatham House in London and at Institut Montaigne in Paris. He was also a Turkey Europe Future fellow with Stiftung Mercator. He holds a master’s degree in European Affairs from Sciences Po Paris and a bachelor’s degree in Politics, International Studies and French from the University of Warwick.
